RICHARD AMEY
(Lead Guitar/Vocals)

Schoolboy and late-teens, folk & blues ensembles in Worthing,
along with Richard, included Gerry (Leo) Sayer, (Mad) Max Chetwynd
and Nigel Ratcliffe. After Watermelon came college rock bands in
Kent, then pro pop (Teaser) in London, Southern England, Wales
and Germany, then pro rock (Kelly, including the now late Paul Sansom,
of Samson fame) on the London pub circuit and touring Holland.
Piano tuition from age 8-16, self-taught guitar since 10, Richard
then wrote and recorded TV signature tunes, film background and
advertising music in London (Abbey Life video near St Paul's,
Berry Music in Tin Pan Alley) and own material.
A professional journalist in sport and music since 1980, Richard
was absorbed in classical music orchestration and directing for
those years, then co-founded Outcry. Would enjoy choral singing,
were the time available. Writes some poetry. Loves most arts.
